PICTURES! First Strictly Come Dancing 2016 live performances

Strictly RECAP!

Here are all the pictures from tonight's opening live show of Strictly Come Dancing 2016.

Tonight's episode saw six couples hit the ballroom and starting off the first live performances of the series were Laura Whitmore and Giovanni Pernice with a confident Cha Cha to 'Venus' by Shocking Blue, even if her bent knees got Craig Revel Horwood moaning.

Next up was Naga Munchetty & Pasha Kovalev who danced the Waltz to 'Run To You' by Whitney Houston but had a bit of an 'incident' halfway through the routine.

Judge Rinder & Oksana Platero did the obligatory courtroom routine with their first dance of the series, performing an outrageous but brilliant Cha Cha to 'Mercy' by Duffy

It was then back down to earth as Lesley Joseph and Anton du Beke danced the Waltz to 'What'll I Do' by Alison Krauss.

Ore Oduba & Joanne Clifton's Tango to 'Geronimo' by Sheppard didn't please Len Goodman but the other judges LOVED it.

Closing the show were Greg Rutherford & Natalie Lowe who danced the Jive to 'Get Ready' by The Temptations
