Strictly Come Dancing pro Brendan Cole insists he has the credentials to replace Len Goodman on the panel next year.
Len announced his exit from the Strictly judging line up back in July, revealing he would be stepping down from the show at the end of the current run.
Brendan has been rumoured as a potential replacement but some reckon he's not good enough.
Hitting back this weekend, Brendan claimed he was more than qualified to take up a seat alongside Craig Revel Horwood, Darcey Bussell and Bruno Tonioli.
“I don’t think it’s going to be open and shut," said Brendan. "I think they’ll go through a process like the BBC do with all of their big decisions.
“It makes sense for people to speculate it would be either Anton or myself because we’ve been there from the start.”
He told The Sun newspaper: "I’ve done judging in a different country. And if you look at Anton and myself we’re definitely good at what we do and what you need to do to create good entertainment."
Brendan went on: "I don’t agree with a lot of what the judges say — I’ve got 34 years of dance experience.
“I got to the top of my game and I didn’t do it the easy way — I worked my a**e off to get there, so I’ve done the hard work.”
With still a whole series of Strictly to go before Len goes it's unlikely we'll hear anything official about his replacement for some time yet.
But be sure to stick with us for all the latest!
