Laura Whitmore has become the third celebrity CONFIRMED for the Strictly Come Dancing 2016 cast this autumn.
She was confirmed early today on BBC Radio 1's breakfast show with Nick Grimshaw.
TV presenter Laura had been linked to the show earlier this year after quitting ITV2's I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here Now! spin off show after five years.
She said: "I have watched Strictly and been obsessed with the show since series 1. It's an incredible show and I feel so honoured to be asked to be a part of it.
"I'm not going to lie, I'm sightly petrified too!
Laura, who began her TV career on MTV, is the third celebrity officially announced for the new series, joining former politician Ed Balls and singer Will Young.
Speaking yesterday, Will said: "As a fan of Strictly for years, I have always imagined myself on the show, but the timing has not been right... until now!
"Music is my passion and the dancing I have done has always been with a microphone in hand. Now there will be no microphone or band, just me, my partner and the dance floor.""
Rumoured celebs joining those confirmed on the Strictly line up this year are ITV's Judge Rinder, singer Anastacia, Corrie's Ryan Thomas, model Daisy Lowe, Eternal's Louise Redknapp, former I'm A Celebrity host Laura Whitmore and butler to the late Princess Diana, Paul Burrell.
More names will be officially revealed over the next few weeks ahead of the Strictly launch in September on BBC One.
