Her agent has hit back at "nonsense" reports claiming she is set to take to the dancefloor on the BBC One series in the autumn.
A report in the Daily Star newspaper under the headline 'Cheryl to do Strictly' had linked the Girls Aloud singer to the series.
A TV insider told the newspaper: “Getting Cheryl would be amazing for Strictly. They want to make sure they keep thrashing X Factor in the ratings.
“If they got Cheryl to take part all of her fans would stop watching X Factor and start tuning in to Strictly, giving them an even bigger lead when it comes to viewing figures."
But while the idea of Cheryl on Strictly got judge Bruno Tonioli's backing, it's just not going to happen.
Her team said of the rumours: "This is absolute nonsense. Cheryl is not going to be on Strictly."
So that's that cleared up.
As for who could REALLY end up on Strictly this year, no names are yet confirmed but rumoured celebs include ITV's Judge Rinder, singer Anastacia, Corrie's Ryan Thomas, model Daisy Lowe, Pop Idol singer Will Young, Eternal's Louise Redknapp, former I'm A Celebrity host Laura Whitmore and butler to the late Princess Diana, Paul Burrell.
Strictly will air on BBC One from next month.
