James Jordan has predicted that Brendan Cole will NOT replace Len Goodman on the Strictly Come Dancing judging panel - because of his big mouth.

Strictly veteran Len recently confirmed that this year's series of the BBC hit will be his last, with professional contestant Anton Du Beke regarded as the hot favourite to replace him.

He's not the only candidate, with rumours swirling that former panellist Arlene Phillips could be brought back.

But James reckons that his former cast mate Brendan - who, like Anton, has taken part in every series of the show - doesn't stand a chance at taking Len's job as he's too unpredictable.

"It’s seems to be between Anton and Brendan. And for me it’s got to be Anton," James told The Mirror.

"I think there will be concern that Brendan would be ‘forthright’ in judging acts and would be a risky person to have in the chair. The bosses would be worrying too much about what might come out of his mouth.

"But I think with Anton, you know what you are going to get. My money would definitely be on him."

If anyone would know it's James, who frequently caused controversy behind the scenes at Strictly before he left the show in 2014.

He went on to star in Celebrity Big Brother on Channel 5, reaching third place in its fourteenth series.

Len's final series of Strictly is due to begin in September.
