Gleb Savchenko has revealed just why he quit Strictly Come Dancing last week.
The pro dancer announced his surprise departure from the show a few days ago, which fans have cheekily branded Glebixt.
Hunky Gleb proved a hit with viewers on BBC's Strictly last year but won't be back for a second series.
He told The Sun newspaper that his decision to leave was down to his wife and daughter, wanting to spend more time with the pair.
“When I was on Strictly it was really, really difficult," Gleb explained this weekend. “I was missing out on so much and I didn’t get to see my daughter for six months out of the whole year.
“She’s going to be six in November and she has to go to school. My wife was trying to fly back and forth but it was too tough.
“I didn’t want to miss out on so much and I made this decision to be with my family. I think family is more important than fame. My wife needs to feel loved and I want to see my daughter grow up.”
Strictly confirmed the new pro line up last week which has seen a total of five dancers leave.
Alongside Gleb, Kristina Rihanoff, Ola Jordan, Aliona Vilani and Tristan MacManus have all gone.
But in their place are a trio a newbies as World Champion Katya Jones, Ukrainian Champion Oksana Platero and top Spanish dance professional Gorka Marque join the show.
Strictly Come Dancing will air later this year on BBC One.
