BBC presenter Alex Jones tipped to take part in Strictly Come Dancing 2011

BBC presenter Alex Jones has become the first celebrity to be linked to Strictly come Dancing 2011, with sources saying the Welsh telly star is set to shine on the programme. Jones has reportedly gone down a storm since taking over presenting BBC's evening magazine programme 'The One Show' from Christine Bleakley in August.

The 33-year-old was also recently revealed as the new co-host of Let's Dance for Comic Relief, due to hit scenes next month.

According to The Sun, bosses are the Beeb are hoping to raise Alex's profile on the dancing show this autumn. A source told the newspaper: "Alex has been a dream come true for The One Show. She held the whole thing together and everyone's grateful.

"Bosses think it's her time to shine."

Strictly Come Dancing will return to BBC One in Autumn 2011.
