Strictly Come Dancing has been named the best TV talent show at the National Television Awards.

This evening saw the 21st Annual NTAs live from the O2 Arena in London presented by Dermot O'Leary.

As always, all the gongs were based purely on public votes and it was Strictly who came out on top ahead of The Voice UK, The X Factor and Britain's Got Talent in one of the most competitive categories of the night, Best TV Talent Show.

Strictly previously won the gong back in 2014 but were beaten by The X Factor last year.

Show host Tess Daly, judge Darcy Bussell and pro dancer Brendan Cole went up to collect their award as they took back the title from their rival.

In our own website poll this week it was The X Factor that came out on top with 42% of the vote. Strictly was in second spot on 25%, Britain's Got Talent had 19% and The Voice UK was last with 14%.

Elsewhere in tonight's ceremony, the Great British Bake Off won the award for Best Challenge Show while I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here took home the trophy for Best Entertainment Show. It was the second time Ant and Dec went up to the stage as they once again took home the Best Presenter award for a fifteenth year in a row.
