Kristina Rihanoff has confirmed she's QUIT Strictly Come Dancing.
The dancer has officially announced her exit from the BBC One show, revealing that she was "unhappy" during her final series.
“It’s a bittersweet situation," Kristina explained this week.
In an interview conducted for Hello magazine before she entered the house, Kristina continued: "I was on Strictly for eight years and I loved the dancing side of it, but I feel relieved because I wasn’t happy towards the end."
Saying that the show "takes a toll on your life", Kristina went on: "It's very intense and it's worth it if you feel like you are fulfilling yourself as an artist... those moments when you feel you have done great choreography to a great song and a good concept. But I feel some of that creativity was being taken out of my hands."
She added: “I’m going to miss everyone.”
Kristina's exit follows her pregnancy announcement made last week. The performer is expecting her first child with boyfriend Ben Cohen, her former celebrity partner on the show.
“It was a surprise but I am obviously delighted," Kristina said. “My mother was with me over Christmas and when we found out she put her arms around me and she cried with joy.
“It is her lifelong dream for me to have a child and it was lovely to see her so happy.”
Kristina's exit from Strictly makes her the THIRD long time female professional dancer to have quit this month.
She follows in the footsteps of Ola Jordan and Aliona Vilani who have also left the BBC show, paving the way for a refreshed line up of pro dancers when the next series begins in the autumn.
