Strictly Come Dancing's Aljaž Skorjanec hopes Halloween curse won't strike Helen George!

Helen George & Aljaz Skorjenc

It's Strictly's Halloween special Saturday night and pro dancer Aljaž Skorjanec has something to truly fear!

The professional performer has been in the dance off every Halloween weekend since joining the show.

Although Aljaz hopes this year will be different, for a strange reason. He suggested that the curse may have been broken as his latest celebrity Helen George's name doesn't start with an A like his past partners.

Curse or no curse, it does seem unlikely that we'll see Helen and Aljaz in the bottom two this weekend.

Last Saturday they were top of the leaderboard with their best marks yet, although Helen confessed: "I didn't really understand what the quickstep was and I didn't even understand it when I was doing it! It was complete fluke it went so well."

Aljaz gushed: "I was so, so, so impressed, I was scared for a second that I'm not going to get through it."

This week it's the Samba for the pair and Helen said: "It's really fun, the story for the dance is is really great. I feel very British when I do all the Latin stuff! It's so technical."

"She's loosening it up, every single dance is different," Aljaz added. "Samba has so much bounce action, you really need to go into your knees and Helen's doing a good job."

Strictly airs this Saturday and Sunday night on BBC One.
