Jamelia was in the dance off again on Strictly Come Dancing at the weekend and today compared it to being a "world of devastation".
It was the singer's second time having to dance for her place in the competition for the judges as the panel saved her ahead of Ainsley Harriot to stay in the running.
Speaking this evening, Jamelia said of facing elimination again: "Do you know what, for like half an hour after the dance off you're in a world of devastation but then you kind of get over it, especially when you get through."
Jamelia's latest appearance in the dance off followed her best score yet but she said: "Every week you're doing a completely different dance.
"I think that you kind of have to accept that you can be great at a Charleston but then do a Foxtrot, which has a completely different technique, and you get marked on the dance as it is, I've seen it happen to other people before."
She added: "I absolutely love Ainsley so it was horrible to go up against him but it would've been horrible to go up against anyone."
One of the criticisms levelled at the pair this weekend by judge Craig Revel Horwood was an illegal lift but Jamelia's pro Tristan MacManus defended the routine: "That was not a lift, a lift is something you can't do on your own, that was an assisted... move. She just jumped a little bit!"
This weekend and hoping to get back on track, Jamelia and Tristan are dancing a Jive to The Time Warp from the Rocky Horror Picture Show for Strictly's Halloween special.
"It's fast, very, very fast, it's good fun!" enthused Jamelia.
"It's going well, she hasn't cried yet!" Tristan joked. "It's a fun jive."
Strictly airs this Saturday and Sunday night on BBC One.
