Ainsley Harriott has admitted to thinking Strictly Come Dancing 2015 would be a walk in the park.

The TV chef - who says he "loves a boogie" - revealed this month: "I turned up and thought 'This is going to be easy' but it is so hard.

"But I'm enjoying learning how to dance. It's a completely new discipline."

Ainsley, who is partnered with Natalie Lowe, confessed to being a quite the competitive person.

"To a degree and if I’m playing a game, I do my best to win," he said. "I do want it to be enjoyable and I’d rather have fun and lose than simply win for the sake of winning. I’d like to get far enough to have really learned something."

However the Ready, Steady, Cook star has his work cut out with Olympic boxer Anthony Ogogo one of his rivals.

Anthony said this week: "I’m not one of those guys that has to beat their nephew at board games but when I’m passionate about something like boxing, I’m the most competitive person in the world.

"For example, during my last fight I dislocated my shoulder in the second round and I fought the next four and a half rounds with one arm so there’s no giving up or quitting with me."

Corrie's Georgia May Foote also confessed to being quite the competitor: "I’m a bit annoying when it comes to card games and stuff like that."

Strictly Come Dancing kicks off its live shows at the end of the month on BBC One although as usual there will be no public vote or eliminations until the second week.
