Strictly Come Dancing 2015 celebs hit the red carpet for launch show

The Strictly Come Dancing 2015 contestants were on the red carpet last night as they recorded this year's launch show.

A total of fifteen celebs have signed up for the new series and they were joined by hosts Claudia Winkleman and Tess Daly as well as judges Len Goodman plus Darcey Bussell, Bruno Tonioli and Craig Revel Horwood at the launch.

The stars were at Elstree Studios in North London together with this year's professional dancers to record Saturday's opening episode.

This year's Strictly celebs include Call The Midwife actress Helen George, Radio 2 host and broadcaster Jeremy Vine, TV Chef Ainsley Harriott.

Other contestants on the SCD lineup for the new thirteenth series are Irish legend Daniel O’Donnell, Olymic boxer Anthony Ogogo and The Wanted's Jay McGuiness are also on the confirmed Strictly line up together with Countryfile TV presenter Anita Rani and Singer and Loose Women panelist Jamelia.

There's also EastEnders star Kellie Bright and Coronation Street actress Georgia May Foote, together with TV and Radio host Katie Derham, BBC Weather presenter Carol Kirkwood and singer Peter Andre, who looked right at home on the red carpet surrounded by the pros.

Finally completing the Strictly cast of 2015 are Sky Sports presenter Kirsty Gallacher and Olympic runner Iwan Thomas who became the final two celebs announced last week.

The launch will see the celebs paired up with their pro for the series before they hit the training room for three weeks of intensive rehearsals ahead of the first live show at the end of the month.

The opening episode this Saturday night will also see introductions to all the celebs on the line up, a group dance from the professionals and the first dance from the stars themselves.

Strictly Come Dancing starts this Saturday evening at 7:15PM on BBC One.
