The Wanted singer Jay McGuiness has been confirmed as the tenth and latest confirmed celebrity on the new Strictly Come Dancing line up for 2015.
The news was announced exclusively on BBC Radio 1 today (Monday 24th August) when Jay joined Matt Edmondson live in the studio and revealed the news on air.
“My family are such huge Strictly fans, I know I've made them very happy by taking part - I can’t wait to get started! I love to dance but this is going to be so different from anything I have done before, I'm up for it!" said Jay.
Newark born Jay McGuiness is best known as one fifth of boy band The Wanted, who released three albums and achieved ten top-ten singles in the UK's Official Singles Charts before the group decided to pursue solo endeavours last year.
Jay joins boxer Anthony Ogogo, Irish singer Daniel O'Donnell, singer Peter Andre, Weather presenter Carol Kirkwood, TV host Katie Derham, Corrie star Georgia May Foote, EastEnder Kellie Bright, TV chef Ainsley Harriet and broadcaster Jeremy Vine on the official Strictly 2015 line up so far.
More confirmed celebrity dancers will be announced over the coming days so be sure to stick with us for the latest names as they're revealed.
Those tipped to take to the dancefloor alongside the already confirmed celebs include former X Factor champ Joe McElderry, singer Jamelia and fashion stylist Gok Wan.
Other names rumoured are Call The Wife's Helen George, EastEnder Shane Ritchie and Sky Sports TV presenter Kirsty Gallacher, as well as married couple Jamie and Louise Redknapp and ex ITV presenter Adrian Chiles.
Strictly Come Dancing 2015 starts back on TV in September with the launch date now confirmed for September 5.
The opening show will see the celebs find out their pro partners before a first group dance ahead of the live shows beginning three weeks later.
