Soap stars Shane Richie and Georgia May Foote are both said to be on the wish list for this year's Strictly Come Dancing line up.
Strictly bosses are so keen to get Shane on board that they're even set to offer a £50,000 flat fee just to see him compete in the first week, with up to £150,000 to be earned if he makes the final.
The former EastEnders actor has said no to the show in the past but the Daily Mirror report that producers are determined to finally sign him for this autumn's upcoming series.
"Soap stars always figure highly on Strictly and producers are mulling over who to go for - at the moment they like the idea of Shane," a source told the tabloid at the weekend. “He’s on a break from EastEnders and is scheduled to film a six-part spin-off show with Jessie Wallace during the summer.
“That goes out in the autumn and bosses think it would be great to have him on Strictly as it will give it great publicity.”
Another name said to be on the 'hit list' of celebs is ex-Coronation Street actress Georgia May Foote who left the ITV soap earlier this year.
The source said: "Georgia May Foote is another target - she is also popular with viewers and has just left Corrie, so Strictly would be perfect for her.”
A spokesperson for the BBC declined to comment on the "speculation".
The new series of Strictly will air in the autumn.
