Louis Walsh has suggested he's up for joining this year's Strictly Come Dancing after leaving X Factor.
While there's been no official announcement yet about Louis' exit from the ITV series, he has seemingly confirmed he won't be back but insisted that he wasn't sacked.
“The truth is I’ve done it for 11 years, I never thought I would even be on TV for four or five. To get 10 was great, to get 11 was amazing, I’m not hanging around for them this year," Louis said this week. “But I wasn’t sacked, I haven’t been hired and I’m not hanging around.”
Louis has now suggested that - as well as launching his own talent agency - a spot on the Strictly dancefloor could be his next move.
“I can’t dance at all, that’s why it’ll be so good,” he told the Daily Mirror newspaper. “I’d like to be partnered with Ola.”
If Louis does end up on SCD he would follow in the footsteps of last year's champ Caroline Flack who is now back hosting the main X Factor show alongside Olly Murs.
“I was in touch with Caroline when she was sacked and she took a big chance when she went on Strictly," Louis added. “She went from ITV2 to BBC and back to ITV. It took balls.”
Meanwhile in other X Factor news, the Daily Star today claims that Kate Moss is being lined up to star alongside rumoured judge Nick Grimshaw on this year's series.
“Although it’s unlikely she would ever become a judge, Kate may help Grimmy choose final contestants at the judges houses," a source told the newspaper.
The X Factor will air on ITV in the autumn.
