Strictly Come Dancing 2014: Frankie Bridge WILL dance despite ankle injury

Frankie Bridge

Frankie Bridge will perform on tonight's Strictly Come Dancing 2014 despite a nasty injury to her ankle.

The singer hurt herself in rehearsals this week as she practiced her Charleston with pro partner Kevin Cliffton.

It was touch and go whether Frankie, who topped the scoreboard last week, would be well enough to perform but she's now been given the all clear.

A show source told the Daily Mirror newspaper today: “It would have been gutting to see Frankie miss a show this soon – she made such a massive splash with her performance in week one – so we’re all relieved she’s back on form.”

Frankie herself revealed: "I was in a lot of pain with my ankle but now I'm feeling fine and ready to hit the dancefloor with Kevin this weekend."

Meanwhile, Frankie has told how she's been rehearsing at home with husband Wayne Bridge, although the pair have struggled with the lifts!

She told The Sun today: "Wayne feels like he’s in it. He’s really into it when he’s watching. He knows everything about everyone and was screaming when I came out.

“With the Charleston, there’s lots of lifts. I was like ‘Babe we should try these’. We tried them but no luck, we thought no — this is not a good idea.”

Strictly Come Dancing airs tonight from 6:20PM on BBC One.
