Frankie Bridge is the new favourite to win Strictly Come Dancing 2014 after this weekend's first live show.
The celebrities have taken to the Strictly Come Dancing dancefloor for the first time. There was a mixture of the good, the bad and the uncoordinated.
There was one who shone above the rest, Frankie Bridge who is the new favourite to win at 3/1.
Pixie, Simon and Caroline all scored 27 for their performances but are not all square in the betting.
Early favourite Pixie is now the 7/2 second favourite, with Simon Webbe next in the betting at 5/2 and Caroline flacked behind them on 11/2.
Thom Evans’ stiff frame saw him score a low 23 from the judges and he has waltz his way down the betting to 6/1 from 4/1.
Jake Wood may have come second on the leaderboard, at 12/1 he is most certainly the dark horse in the competition.
Steve Backshall was surprisingly agile and has been cut into 16/1 from 25/1 to win.
One lady who impressed was Alison Hammond and was quickly pushed right out to 25/1 from 8/1 to be eliminated after her Cha Cha Cha.
Aoife Heffron from Boylesports commented: “Frankie showed us exactly what she can do and she is the now 3/1 favourite to win knocking Pixie off her perch and out to 7/2.”
She added: “Jake Wood is one to watch after his terrific tango earned him second place on 28. Currently at 12/1 he could be worth a punt as we may see him shorten each week.”
Strictly continues next weekend on BBC One.
