Here's a recap of tonight's first Strictly Come Dancing 2014 live show as Jake Wood topped the scoreboard.

Xtra Factor's Caroline Flack and Pasha Kovalev were first up, performing a Cha Cha to ‘Can You Feel It?’ by The Jacksons, scoring a total of 27 points from the judges.

Another Cha Cha followed as Tim Wonnacott and Natalie Lowe took to the floor, performing to ‘Shop Around’ by Captain & Tennille to score 18 marks.

Next up, Jake Wood and Janette Manrara Tangoed to ‘Toxic’ by Britney Spears, scoring a total of 28.

Judy Murray and Anton Du Beke's Waltz to ‘Mull Of Kintyre’ by Wings also scored 18 points before Scott Mills and Joanne Clifton's Cha Cha to ‘Rock DJ’ by Robbie Williams left them bottom of the leaderboard with just 16 points.

Closing this evening's first show were Pixie Lott and Trent Whiddon who Jived to ‘Shake It Off’ by Taylor Swift, matching Caroline's score of 27 points.

It left Jake on top of the scoreboard after all six had performed with a 27 points out of a total of 40.

There is no elimination this weekend but the judges' scores will carry on to next week's show.

Strictly continues tomorrow night on BBC One with the remaining nine celebs: Alison Hammond, Frankie Bridge, Greg Wallace, Jennifer Gibney, Mark Wright, Simon Webbe, Steve Backshall, Sunetra Sarker and Thom Evans.
