Strictly Come Dancing contestant Steve Backshall has said no to one of the show's trademark fake tans.
The wildlife TV presenter admitted that he feared it could turn him GREEN.
“A friend had one done and they went green and had to have it re-applied every three days," he said this week. “And apparently if you do any exercise it goes streaky and looks like creosote.
“I also think I look like a Madame Tussauds doll with all that make-up on.”
But while it's a no to the fake tan, Steve is up for getting one of Strictly's trademark wardrobe makeovers.
He said: "My wardrobe consists of army surplus gear and old PE kit and that’s how I live my life. I own one suit and a couple of shirts and that’s it.
"I spent my summer on an expedition in the Arctic and I didn’t even change my clothes for over a month – that’s where my wardrobe tends to lie.
"And here I am, sparkling and shining. Every time I walk past a mirror or catch a glimpse of myself, I have to stop and do a double-take and think ‘what on earth are you wearing?!’"
But sequins aside, Steve also revealed that his summer away climbing snow covered mountains had left him with an injured knee that's made training difficult.
The Strictly Come Dancing 2014 live shows begin on September 26 and 27 on BBC One.
