The Saturdays star Frankie Bridge has been named as the first confirmed celeb for this year's series.

She said: “I’m such a huge fan of Strictly! I’ve always wanted to be a part of the show – it looks like so much fun and the costumes are just gorgeous."

Judy Murray

Judy Murray

Mum of Tennis ace Andy Murray, Judy will be swapping her tennis racquet for dancing shoes this year after being confirmed as the second of this year's Strictly Come Dancing contestants.

“I’m a huge Strictly Come Dancing fan but a total armchair dancer. It’s going to be a big challenge for me and for whoever has to dance with me but I absolutely can’t wait to get started!" she said.

Alison Hammond

Alison Hammond

TV Presenter Alison Hammond is the third celebrity taking part in the new series of Strictly Come Dancing.

She said: “I am absolutely overjoyed to be joining the Strictly team. I am ready to immerse myself in glitter and hard work, with a dash of fun along the way!”

Thom Evans

Rugby star Thom Evans is the first male celebrity confirmed for the show, following in the footsteps of fellow rugby stars Ben Cohen, Austin Healey and Martin Offiah.

Thom said: “I'm so happy to be doing the show, I cannot wait to get started. I’m really looking forward to my Strictly makeover – bring on Strictly and bring on the spandex!”

Blue's Simon Webbe is the second male celebrity to be confirmed for SCD 2014.

"I am so happy to be joining the team and I cannot wait to get started. I'm hopeful that Strictly Come Dancing will help me to improve on my daddy dancing skills," Simon said. "I want to make my daughter proud and no doubt she will be teaching me a pirouette or two along the way.

Mark Wright

Mark Wright

The Only Way Is Essex star Mark Wright is the third of this year's male celebs. He announced he had signed up for the show in his Heart radio show.

Mark said: "I'm genuinely petrified about dancing on national telly but Strictly is such an amazing show to be a part of and I can't wait to get stuck in and give it my all!”

Sunetra Sarker

Sunetra is best known for her role as Dr Zoe Hanna in BBC One’s popular medical drama Casualty.

She said: “I don't quite know what I've let myself in for... I'm in total denial! But the chance to swap my stethoscope for sequins was just too tempting."

Jake Wood

Jake Wood

Best known for playing Albert Square’s notorious bad boy and womaniser, Max Branning, Jake is an actor in Eastenders.

He said: "I'm doing it for all the dads out there and you never know, there's always a chance of being the first Walford resident to take home the glitterball... Bring it on!"

Steve Backshall

Steve Backshall

BAFTA-winning naturalist and TV presenter Steve Backshall has become the latest name confirmed for Strictly Come Dancing 2014.

Steve said: “My day job filming wildlife in jungles and swamps is nothing like as scary as what is ahead. I think Strictly Come Dancing is going to be my wildest challenge by far!”

TV and radio presenter Scott Mills is the tenth celebrity confirmed for this year's Strictly.

The Radio 1 DJ said: "I’m honoured be part of the biggest show on television and hoping this could be the start of a brand new skill for me."

Pixie Lott

Pixie Lott

Singer Pixie Lott is name number eleven on this year's line up and the second popstar to join the new run.

"I'm so excited to be doing Strictly, it's going to be a lot of fun. I always want to push myself as a performer so can't wait to learn the routines," Pixie said.

Caroline Flack

Caroline Flack

Caroline is one of the UK’s best known TV presenters and over the years has hosted a variety of programmes including ‘I’m a Celebrity, Get me out of Here Now!’, ‘The Xtra Factor’ and ‘Gladiators’.

Caroline said: “I am so excited to get started and I just want to get through the first dance with no mistakes….plus I really want to master my ‘dance face’!”

Jennifer Gibney

Actress Jennifer Gibney is perhaps best known for her role on BBC One comedy Mrs Brown’s Boys.

Jenny said: “As a child I wrote to Blue Peter asking could I dance with Pan's People. Now at last I get a chance to earn my badge - excited doesn't cover it!!"

Gregg Wallace

Gregg Wallace

Chef and Masterchef judge Greg Wallace is another name taking to the Strictly dancefloor this year.

Gregg said: “I absolutely love the show and I love dancing! I cannot wait to get engrossed and live in a Strictly bubble!”

Tim Wonnacott

Tim Wonnacott

The final confirmed celebrity in this year's Strictly line up is Bargain Hunt presenter Tim Wonnacott.

He said: " I would love to pick up even just a few moves so that come [my wife and I's] anniversary, I can take her out and show her a good time!”
