Strictly Come Dancing 2014 professional Robin Windsor has been forced to quit this year's series.
The pro dancer has been ruled out of the show this autumn after suffering a back injury, with show sources blaming some of the problems on his 'heavyweight' partners in recent years.
A source said of the hunky performer: “In recent years his partners have tended to be on the bigger side, and with all the lifts the couples have to do, that does have consequences.
“A dancer is going to put a lot more pressure on his back by lifting someone like Lisa Riley than Abbey Clancy."
They added to The Sun newspaper: “Over time it seems that Robin has weakened his back, and in doing so, caused this injury. He’s gutted, but knew he had no option but to go.”
In a statement, Robin said: “I’m devastated to have to pull out of Strictly this year due to a pre-existing back injury.
“It’s been a difficult decision, but I’ll focus 100 per cent on my recovery and hope to be back in the ballroom as soon as possible, doing what I love best.”
Robin will be replaced by Australian dancer Trent Whiddon on the series this autumn.
Strictly will kick off next month on BBC One.
