Former X Factor judge Nicole Scherzinger is reportedly set to 'snub' a performance on the show this year in favour of Strictly Come Dancing.
According to the Daily Star newspaper, Strictly bosses are keen to secure Nicole to perform on their show rather than ITV's rival series.
Nicole admitted earlier this year she had not been asked back to The X Factor, with Mel B replacing her alongside Cheryl Cole, Simon Cowell and Louis Walsh.
A source, who sounds suspiciously like it could be Nicole herself, claimed: “Nicole is one of the sexiest pop babes around. When she releases her album everyone will want her on their show."
They told the newspaper today: "Strictly want to get the upper hand and feel having a former X Factor judge on their show will do just that.
“If Nicole goes on The X Factor then she will have to perform in front of Cheryl."
Getting rather carried away, the supposed insider added: “The media furore it will create will be intense, everyone will be looking for some sort of clash between them.”
The X Factor will return to ITV next month while Strictly kicks off later on in the autumn on BBC One.
