Dame Edna would be Len Goodman's dream contestant for the Strictly Come Dancing 2014 line up.
The veteran Strictly judge reckons that Aussie comic Barry Humphries, who portrays the character, would be a "great" addition to the show.
“It would be great to have Barry Humphries," he told What’s On TV. "I reckon he could come on as Dame Edna or a different character every week."
Amongst the other contestants rumoured for this year's latest series are the likes of former Xtra Factor host Caroline Flack, ex Blue Peter host Helen Skelton, Masterchef’s Gregg Wallace and mum of tennis star Andy Murray, Judy.
Len however insisted he was never told the line up until it was also revealed to the public.
He explained: "I've heard the rumours, but they never tell us judges who's on the show until they tell everybody else. I'm glad, too, because I'd be giving away the secrets!”
But on the rumoured celebs, Len said: "If it is Judy Murray as rumoured, perhaps Andy Murray will come and cheer her on like she's always cheering him on during his matches."
He added: “I just hope they can find such a terrific lot of contestants as they have in the last two years."
The latest run of Strictly starts in September on BBC One.
