Andy Murray’s mum Judy has become the latest name linked to Strictly Come Dancing 2014.
With Andy Murray been an unlikely bet and his girlfriend Kim Sears snubbing the show, it seems that the BBC have gone for the next best thing.
Judy, who is a tennis coach herself and current captain of the Great Britain Fed Cup team, is reportedly on a wish list of celebs put together by show bosses.
“Judy would be great. It’s wonderful that she’s such a fan," a source told The Sun newspaper today. "Kim has declined in the past. We would love a Murray in some form.”
Former Strictly contestant Andrew Castle, a close friend of Judy's, added to the tabloid: “She’s a huge Strictly nut and would love to do the show. I reckon she’d surprise people.
"I’m sure she’s got the moves.”
And Andrew joked: “Andy would be supportive but might be embarrassed and have to watch through his fingers."
Other names already linked to the new series of Strictly include former Corrie star Michelle Keegan, TOWIE's Mark Wright and X Factor winner Joe McElderry.
There have also been rumours that Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean could take part after Dancing On Ice's final series concluded earlier this month.
