Sophie Ellis-Bextor has explained she's taking a bit of a risk with her showdance on Saturday night's Strictly final.
This year will see Strictly Come Dancing's first ever all-female final, as Natalie Gumede, Abbey Clancy, Susanna Reid and Sophie all compete for the Glitterball.
One of the three dances the finalists will be performing on Saturday night is a showdance, which has no rules: The celebs and their pro partners choose the music, moves, props, outfits and perform the routine as they see fit.
Speaking about her routine, Sophie teased: “With every dance I do there is an element of risk (laughs) there may be a few tricky things but I want people to be relaxing and thinking it’s a lovely thing to watch."
The mum-of-three, who is partnered with professional Brendan Cole, will be dancing to “I Wanna Dance with Somebody” by Whitney Houston but fears her routine could come across as show-offy.
She explained: “I think one problem with the show dance might be that you could be trying too hard…I think I want to be a little bit more selfish with it really. I want a really lovely moment, not showing off but hopefully a great thing where the girls think I would like to dance like that.
“Show dance has to be a real piece of theatre that brings everything together so I do feel that it’s a bit of a challenge but it’s pretty nice challenge to have.”
The popstar is one of only two celebs to have never been in the bottom two this series, making her one of the favourites to win.
The grand final will be on Saturday 21st December at 6:30pm on BBC One and BBC One HD. The Strictly 2013 winner will be revealed in the second show of the evening next Saturday at 8:40pm.
