It was a Halloween special on Strictly this weekend as the remaining celebs put on some spooky performances for the judges.
Dave's Monster Mash Jive earned him just 19 points from the judges, the lowest score of the evening, but he avoided elimination.
Instead, Rachel Riley lost out to Abbey Clancy in a surprise bottom two dance off.
Now Strictly judge Craig Revel Horwood has said Dave needs to take the show more seriously as we approach the half way point.
“I like him, I like his performances but I have to wear a judge’s hat on just the dancing," Craig explained. "You know I would love to sit back with a Sauvignon blanc and say isn’t the makeup just wonderful and don’t you just love his hair and all the costuming, but I am not there for that reason, I am there to pick it to bits really."
Discussing Dave's performance at the weekend, Craig told It Takes Two: "Unfortunately there isn’t enough in there and he does get his timing a little bit mucked up.
"You know you have to be on it and he is up against some really incredible and amazing people so he really needs to start reigning it in, honing in on the dance and really I think start treating it a bit more seriously, whilst still keeping it fun!”
Meanwhile, Craig revealed why he didn't get Natalie Gumede a 10 for her Waltz on Saturday night.
The Corrie star topped the leaderboard with 38 points, scoring the first tens of the series from both Darcey and Bruno.
But Craig said: " The reason I didn’t give a ten was because I saw a couple of wobbly moments and I think actually she could have had a slightly better top line, if I am being absolutely honest, and we are being extremely hard on her because she is so fantastic. There is always going to be fault, somewhere."
Next week Strictly Come Dancing is on Saturday 9th November at 6.30pm and will be marking Remembrance Day, with the results show on Sunday 10th November at 7.20pm on BBC One and BBC One HD.
