Rachel Riley has admitted she didn't expect to be in the Strictly Come Dancing bottom two last weekend.
The Countdown presenter and her pro partner Pasha Kovalev had to dance off against Julien Macdonald, and was saved by the judges.
“I did sort of see my Strictly life flash before my eyes – I thought we were going home!” Rachel admitted.
“I just wasn’t expecting it at all and I know what we have got coming up for the next few weeks, and I just can’t wait – there are so many dances I still want to do.
“I felt like I had let Pasha down because it was such a bad performance on the night compared to the one we did in rehearsals and I was just gutted because I am loving it so much. It has kind of taken over everything and I just have properly fallen in love with it, I have got the bug!
“I just couldn’t imagine going home so soon!”
Pasha added: “She was like ‘I don’t want to go home, I don’t want to go home’ and I was like ‘You have to go home tonight anyway!’”
But despite landing in the dance off, Rachel loved the dance.
She said: “I loved the Quick Step, I absolutely loved it. I loved the choreography, we were bank robbers, we were going there, we were sneaky and we were dancing and twirling as you do.”
Speaking on It Takes Two last night, Rachel revealed that this week the pair have the Paso Doble.
She told Zoe Ball on the BBC Two spin-off show: “I love it! The Paso Doble is just my favourite dance on Strictly, I just adore it. So to get the chance to do it, we have an amazing song – we have Man-Eater so I am a man-eater, and Pasha is the man!”
Strictly Come Dancing continues this Saturday and Sunday night on BBC One.
