Strictly Come Dancing 2013 favorite Natalie Gumede has been left injured on the show.
The Corrie star has topped the leaderboard repeatedly already this series, but it seems that all the hours she's put into training have had an impact.
Yesterday (Wednesday) Natalie had an MRI scan after hurting her back in rehearsals for this Saturday night's show.
Doctors have told her she must rest for at least the next 48 hours, leaving her touch and go to perform at the weekend.
“The medical team certainly found some swelling on Natalie’s back," a source said. “She’s planning to see a consultant and is putting her feet up for a few days.
“Everyone is hoping she will still be able to dance, but it is all hanging in the balance at the moment.”
Natalie and her pro partner Artem Chigvintsev are set to perform the Quickstep to Yeah by Usher on Saturday evening's latest live show, as part of a "mixtape" night.
The source added: "Natalie is fearing the worst and would hate not to be able to perform. It is touch and go.”
This week Strictly Come Dancing is on Saturday 19th October at 6:30pm with the results show on Sunday 20th October at 7:15pm on BBC One and BBC One HD.
