Strictly Come Dancing 2013: Aliona Vilani claims she didn't want to leave

Axed Strictly Come Dancing professional Aliona Vilani has hinted she was pushed from the show.

The Kazakhstani born ballroom dancer will leave the series this year after four years on the show.

But Aliona made it clear this week that it was not her decision to go.

The 29-year-old, who was forced out of last year's series due to injury, 'took to Twitter' to tell fans: "I feel I should make it clear that I haven't left, it was definitely not my decision and choice to leave Strictly, lets see what happens..."

She added to her followers: "To those of you who are asking "WHY?" I'm leaving Strictly and asking me to stay and come back I'll just's not up to me guys!.."

Erin Boag, Vincent Simone and Flavia Cacace have all also left the series this year, although it's fair to say that their exits seemed rather more amicable.

Erin remarked after the news: "It's been a very hard decision to make, but it's time for a change and to focus my attention on new challenges."

The four piece will be replaced by a new line up of stars, including Emma Slater, Janette Manrara and AljaĆŸ Skorjanec.

Meanwhile, Iveta Lukosiute - who stood in for Aliona after her injury last series - will be back for a full series this time around.
