Olympic star Rebecca Adlington has been tipped to compete in Strictly Come Dancing 2013.

The swimmer is 8/1 to come out of retirement before Rio 2016 with Ladbrokes.

As the 23-year-old announced her plans to quit professional swimming the firm make her 8/1 to perform a U-turn and come out of retirement before the next Olympic Games.

And should she do so it's 20/1 she competes in Brazil and 66/1 she adds a third gold medal to her collection.

Away from swimming Adlington's just an even money shot to appear in this year's series of Strictly Come Dancing and it's 20/1 she's victorious in the show. And with Splash! returning for a second series it's 3/1 she turns her hand to diving.

Jessica Bridge of Ladbrokes said: "We've pooled our heads together and the odds suggest she'll pick the ballroom over the swimming pool for any reality TV appearances this year."
