Strictly Come Dancing 2012: Louis Smith doesn't see Denise Van Outen as competition

Louis Smith (Strictly Come Dancing)

It seems that even Louis Smith doesn't think Denise Van Outen has a chance in tonight's Strictly Come Dancing 2012 final.

The Olympian, who is favourite to win, admitted he was confident going into the show.

But while he wasn't sure if Kimberley Walsh or Dani Harmer could challenge him, he didn't seem so worried about Denise.

Louis said today: "I try to ignore the expectations, it adds pressure and I just want to enjoy myself. I've really tried to ignore the fact that I'm favourite.

"Dani and Kimberley have blossomed recently, I think the competition is very close."

Meanwhile, speaking on It Takes Two last night, Louis revealed that Strictly was a lot less nerve wracking than the Olympics.

He said: “I can honestly say I was a lot more nervous ahead of the Olympic Games, I haven’t trained 19 years for Strictly. But it is still up there, there is still a lot of pressure!”

But he went on: "It has been really hard trying to train, and it is the reason we didn’t do too many big lifts during the show, if my back does go then I am out of the competition for sure so it has been really hard trying to get an even balance between doing enough training so that we are ready – it has been hard.”
