Strictly Come Dancing 2012: Tess Daly on the finalists

Tess Daly (Strictly Come Dancing)

Strictly Come Dancing host Tess Daly has claimed that this year's Strictly Come Dancing final is too hard to call.

Kimberley Walsh, Dani Harmer, Louis Smith and Denise Van Outen will all be competing on Saturday night's Strictly Come Dancing 2012 final.

And Tess, who has been co-hosting the series with Sir Bruce Forsyth since the first series, declared: "Nobody can call it."

Choosing to be impartial, Tess insisted she didn't have a favourite, not that we or anyone else believes her.

But Denise did say, very diplomatically (i.e. boring): "Denise was favourite from the beginning but now Kimberley has steamed ahead as the judges’ favourite for the past two weeks in a row and she’s really popular with the public too.

“Louis is a favourite with the ladies and I think his show dance -where anything goes - promises to be spectacular.

"We have never had anyone on the show, even the professionals, who are capable of what he can do gymnastically on the floor. His dancing is not bad either!

“Denise is an incredibly accomplished dancer.

"She has wowed us from the very first dance and she’s trained harder than anyone too, but being in the dance off twice is bound to knock the confidence."

In an essay style response, Tess continued: “Dani is the teen choice. She’s improved week on week which is what the competition is all about. Who knows if our dark horse will go all the way?

“Kimberley is the only finalist who has had not one but two perfect judges’ scores of 40.

"She has the ability to win it and she’s very popular. People can see that she’s as lovely on the inside as she is in the outside.”

So that's that then.
