Strictly Come Dancing 2012: James Jordan defends Denise Van Outen

Denise Van Outen (Strictly Come Dancing)

James Jordan has jumped to the defence of Denise Van Outen on Strictly Come Dancing 2012.

Speaking on Daybreak this morning ahead of the weekend's final, James claimed that Denise has not had any professional dancing experience!

He explained: "I think certain people keep going on about the fact that they think she’s had professional dance training, which she has not.

"So the more people talk about it, eventually it sticks in people’s head. Eventually people start believing it and it’s not true. It’s sad I think."

Denise, who joined James to chat to Lorraine Kelly, was full of praise of her pro partner.

The West End performer and singer said: "Everything we do on the dancefloor is all credit to James, because we work so hard and the technical side of things…I didn’t have a clue how to do Latin or ballroom when I started. I had the worst posture ever."

Meanwhile, discussing the final, James admitted that he felt Dani Harmer could be a dark horse to win.

He said: "Everyone has lifted their game, if you look at Dani she’s kind of snuck under the radar and last week their Argentine Tango was absolutely amazing. Vincent is an Argentine Tango God but the dance was absolutely phenomenal."
