Strictly Come Dancing a 'popularity contest' says Craig Revel Horwood

Craig Revel Horwood (Strictly 2012)

Strictly Come Dancing judge Craig Revel Horwood as said anyone can win the show now, with the public soon to give their say.

Next week's final will see only the public votes decide who wins, and Craig reckons it could see some surprise results.

Having originally backed Denise Van Outen to win at the start of the series, Craig confessed he wasn't confident about his predicition.

He told the Metro newspaper today: "I don’t know. It’s really down to the audience now. It’s a popularity contest in the end.

"The public are now making informed choices. We’re 10 series into Strictly now, people now know a lot about dancing. They know what to look for, technically as well."

Revealing his favourites, Craig told the tabloid: "Lisa is always happy and smiley and she’s a great dancer too and Denise is incredible. She’s just as good at ballroom as she is Latin – and that’s quite rare.

"Even professional dancers find they’re better at one than the other."

Strictly Come Dancing continues this weekend with the semi-finals on Saturday 15th December at 6.30pm with the results show on Sunday 16th December at 7.30pm on BBC One and BBC One HD.
