Strictly Come Dancing 2012 results: Denise Van Outen fears elimination

Denise Van Outen (Strictly Come Dancing)

Denise Van Outen has confessed she fears getting the axe in tonight's Strictly Come Dancing 2012 results.

Last night saw Denise perform a Tango to Roxanne by The Police and a Rumba to The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face by Leona Lewis in a bid to make next week's final.

While the judges' loved the routines, it's the public who will decide which stars will dance again this evening.

Denise avoided elimination last week after being in the bottom two with Nicky Byrne, and if she's in the dance off again it could be for the last time.

"I'm absolutely terrified," Denise admitted. "When I'm there waiting to hear if I'm in the dance off I have to block out everything."

She added: "It scares me so much."

However Denise insisted she wouldn't mind not winning the series, and said she knew it would come down to popularity in the end.

She explained: "We all say it would be lovely to be in the final and have the opportunity to win.

"But I understand it is a TV show, a popularity contest. So I don’t mind about not winning.

"To me it is not about that, it is about enjoying the dancing. I don’t know how I am coming across on camera."

Strictly Come Dancing continues tonight with the results show on Sunday 16th December at 7.30pm on BBC One and BBC One HD.
