Denise Van Outen says Strictly Come Dancing has been a struggle

Denise Van Outen (Strictly Come Dancing)

Denise Van Outen has confessed she's been struggling with Strictly Come Dancing 2012.

Despite having topped the leaderbaord for seven out of the ten weekend's so far, Denise insists she's had to work extra hard to get the marks.

The West End star has had more than a few injuries and as the competition draws to a close, they're putting a damper on the whole experience.

She said: "I love it but every week there's a new ache or pain! Jiving hurts your legs; ballroom hurts your neck.

"When I look back I'll see it more fondly!"

Denise reckons she's not cut to out follow Alesha Dixon and go from the dance floor to the judges desk, saying: "I don't think I'm qualified. I struggle enough to learn the dances."

And the singer thinks that anyone could win the show, although she has her money on favourite Louis Smith!

She said: "I think it's so open! Louis Smith could easily win it though."

Insisting she's not worried about leaving, Denise added: "I can't wait for the live tour. It will be nice to dance without the pressure of live TV - it's so nerve wracking"
