Denise Van Outen has said she was prepared to be in the dance off on Sunday night.
The West End star survived elimination against Nicky Byrne in the latest dance off, which was Denise's first time in the bottom two.
But speaking on It Takes Two, Denise insisted she knew it would be her in danger.
She said: "Well someone had to be in the bottom and we had a feeling early on in the show when we slipped down the leader board, we expected it really."
Denise's pro partner James Jordan added: "We were in the bottom half [of the leader board] and we were practicing after the live shows and we were waiting for it, let's put it that way."
Denise confessed that being on the dance off was difficult, with just five celebs now remaining.
She explained: "It's a difficult situation because we've all been together for so long now, so while we were relieved and pleased, I was sad for Nicky and Karen.
"But obviously we're happy to be in the semi-final."
And Denise said she was aiming to make it through to the final next weekend.
She told It Takes Two host Zoe Ball: "I would love to be in the final, it would be amazing, it would be the icing on the cake. It's what we're all working for, I'd love to get there for James."
And James quipped: "I'd love to be there for me, too!"
