Nicky Byrne has said he's "absolutely devastated" to be out of Strictly Come Dancing 2012.
The Westlife singer was eliminated at the weekend after being in the dance off for the third time, dancing for a place in the semi-finals against Denise Van Outen.
Speaking on It Takes Two last night, Nicky confessed: "I was absolutely devastated. I was gutted.
"I wanted to go as far as I could and on Sunday I felt devastated, but it's a tough competition and there's plenty of good dancers left."
Nicky admitted that his mashup of a Rumba and American Smooth was tricky, having not done either dance before like some of his competitors.
He said: "I was perhaps disadvantaged having not done either before, the Samba is also the bananna skin dance for the male celebs.
"But I thought we got to a level in training where he felt it was good. It was harder than the week before, but I thought it was strong enough to get us through, obviously I was wrong!"
Nicky's pro partner Karen Hauer added: "It was a difficult routine but I thought it went fantastic."
And she lashed out at Craig for giving the pair just five points, saying: "I just want to ay that Craig Revel Horwood needs a hug!"
Karen also revealed she hoped to be back next year for a second series, saying: "This is the best job a dancer can dream of."
Meanwhile, quizzed on his highlights of the series, Nicky told Zoe Ball on BBC Two yesterday: "I really loved the charleston, it was our highest scoring and so much fun. I also loved the Skyfall performance to James Bond, I have no regrets, I had a great time."
Strictly Come Dancing continues this weekend with the semi-finals on Saturday 15th December at 6.30pm with the results show on Sunday 16th December at 7.30pm on BBC One and BBC One HD.
