Kimberley Walsh has said she found last night's Strictly Come Dancing results an horrific experience.

The Girls Aloud babe was out of the bottom two after scoring a perfect 40 points, but found it difficult to watch two of her pals fight it out in the dance off.

Nicky Byrne became the latest star to leave the show in Sunday's Strictly Come Dancing 2012 results, losing in the dance off against Denise Van Outen.

Kimberley said: "It was really tough for me, I have known both Denise and Nicky for a long time, to see them dance against each other was horrific.

"I think Nicky's been amazing."

But Kimberley was happy that her marks and votes from her fans had secured her a spot in the semi-finals.

She added: "To get through to semi finals is ridiculous, one more little push or perhaps a big one, it feels crazy to be int he semi finals."

Denise meanwhile confessed: "I'm really pleased to go through but it's been a hard, tough evening, I kinda of expected it though."

Her pro partner James Jordan added: "I feel gutted for Nicky, especially to go with a hard time from the judges. I thought he did a really good job."
