Strictly Come Dancing 2012: Denise Van Outen feels she's been judged unfairly

Denise Van Outen has claimed she's been treated unfairly on Strictly Come Dancing 2012.

The former favourite reckons the public and even the judges are putting too much pressure on her because of her previous experience.

Denise came under plenty of flack when she was first announced as taking part in the show back in September, with BBC Radio 2 DJ Chris Evans very vocal.

Chris has claimed that Denise should be disqualified from the competition due to her previous experience.

Speaking this weekend, Denise said: “Chris has caused a little bit of damage. But if you look at the shows I have been in in the West End, I haven’t danced.

“Whereas Kimberley (Walsh) has just finished Shrek and she danced in that. All the people left in the competition have some experience of dance."

Denise told the Daily Mirror today that Chris' comments and people's expectations of her could see her miss the final.

She said: "I do think it could stop me winning. My message to the public would be to judge me fairly on the night, in the way it should be judged, on the dancing, and be aware of how hard I’ve worked.”

Her pro partner James Jordan added: “Lisa Riley is dance-trained, so is Dani Harmer and Kimberley.

“Everyone says Denise is a ‘professional dancer’. I can assure you she is not because I am the one who trains with her. The reason we put in so many hours is because we have to.”
