Kimberley Walsh topped the Strictly Come Dancing 2012 leaderboard tonight with the highest score of the series, a perfect 40 points from the judges.
Tonight saw the remaining six celebrities tackling on the show's first ever dance fusion challenge, dancing two different dance styles in the same routine.
Denise Van Outen and James Jordan kicked things off with an uber fast paced Quickstep-Jive mix up to to Jackie Wilson “Reet Petite”. A wardrobe malfunction cost Denise a few points, but she still managed to bounce back from last week's disappointing dance to score 35 points.
It was a case of Tango-ChaChaCha mashup to Abba “Voulez Vous” for Lisa Riley, but while the judges loved her Cha Cha, Lisa's Tango got a slating from Craig Revel Horwood leaving her with 30 points overall.
Nick was next up with a American Smooth-Foxtrot to Olly Murs ‘Troublemaker’ and found himself attacked by Craig, who quipped: "I suspect we'll be seeing that dance again." With 27 points, Nicky was left bottom of the leaderboard.
Dani Harmer's "extraordinary" Charleston-Quickstep to Paul Wightman’s “Happy Feet” won her mega points, with her first tens of the series to earn 38 points out of 40.
Louis Smith managed to avoid the Rumba curse with a Rumba-Tango to U2 “With or Without You”, matching his best score of the series from last week of 37 points.
Bruno Tonioli reckoned Kimberley Walsh gave the performance of the series with her ChaChaCha-Tango to The Weather Girls “Its Raining Men” and the marks showed.
Kimberley not only got her first tens of the series, the Girls Aloud star managed to get the highest score of the show so far with a full house of tens from all of the judges to top the leaderboard with 40 points.
