Strictly Come Dancing 2012 final six to perform 'Dance Fusions'

Len Goodman (Strictly Come Dancing)

The Strictly Come Dancing 2012 stars will be performing dance fusions next weekend in a first for the show.

It's goodbye to the swing-a-thon for the final six as the remaining stars take on a new challenge.

After three times in the dance off, this evening was finally Michael's time to say goodbye as he was eliminated in the latest Strictly Come Dancing 2012 results.

It leaves Dani Harmer, Denise Van Outen, Kimberley Walsh, Lisa Riley, Louis Smith and Nicky Byrne fighting for the glitter ball.

The latest show will see the celebs and their pro partners put together a truly innovative routine, with one piece of music and two dance styles fused together.

Head judge Len Goodman explained: "Each of our remaining couples will be performing two different dance styles in one routine.

"We're calling it dance fusion. You could mix a cheeky Charleston with a quickstep or a romantic Rumba with a saucy Samba."

He added: "Get it right and it's recipe for success but get it wrong an it'll be a right dogs dinner."
