Strictly Come Dancing 2012: Louis Smith teases 'daring' Charleston

Louis Smith (Strictly Come Dancing)

Louis Smith has revealed he's Charleston on Strictly Come Dancing 2012 tonight will be daring.

Olympian Louis and pro partner Flavia Cacace will be dancing to Dr Wanna Do by Caro Emerald

Speaking from training, Louis said: "This week me and Flavia are doing the Charleston.”

Last week Louis was under fire from the judges for his lack of acting and performance, something he's keen to fix tonight.

He said: “I play the role of a Doctor in this, I need to put on a performance as well as dancing. I really need to try and perform it, physically in my face as well.”

Flavia said: “It’s very animated, it’s very OTT. I'm hoping that he is going to smile.”

The pair have lined up some daring tricks in a bid to impress the judges.

"The Charleston is an exciting type of dance so I think it is the perfect opportunity to incorporate more of me and my personality so there will be some flicks and tricks," Louis explained. "I practically come in on top of her from a somersault, where I could literally be landing on her face.”

Flavia added: "I think I must be totally insane, but it just goes to show how much we want to stay in the competition, we will try anything to stay in.”

This week Strictly Come Dancing is on Saturday 1st December at 6.50pm with the results show on Sunday 2nd December at 7.20pm on BBC One and BBC One HD.
