Strictly Come Dancing results: Michael Vaughan hopes to avoid bottom two

Michael Vaughan (Strictly Come Dancing)

Michael Vaughan is keen to avoid the bottom two on the Strictly Come Dancing 2012's results tonight.

The cricket star was in the bottom two last weekend and is once again in danger this evening.

Last night saw Michael end up bottom of the leaderboard after dancing a Samba to Tequila by The Champs.

Michael said: "Last week I was in the bottom two against Victoria Pendleton and Brendan Cole. But I was happy because Nat and I could dance our tango again: we’d made a mistake the first time and had to get the dance back on track.

"The judges criticised my facial expressions but you name anyone who is going to look relaxed when that happens. When we did the same dance in the dance-off, though, it was our best dance yet."

Speaking about his Samba performance this week, Michael revealed he would be disappointed if all the hard work he put in was a waste.

He said: "I’ve been training the hardest ever: we came in on Sunday and did eight hours, with another eight on both Monday and Tuesday, 10 hours on Wednesday and a few hours to finalise it on Thursday."

However Michael added: "I’m just trying the best I can in my own dance, I can’t control anything else."
