Strictly Come Dancing 2012: Dani Harmer a dark horse to win

Dani Harmer (Strictly Come Dancing)

Tracy Beaker star Dani Harmer is looking more likely to make the Strictly Come Dancing 2012 final.

Dani Harmer is improving dramatically and at 10/1 is a lively outsider despite being one of the early favourites to leave.

Strictly judge Craig Revel Horwood recently praised the child actress: "I think her and Vincent make such a sweet, honest and gorgeous couple. I think the final could be in reach, you think they’ve been dancing for years.

“I didn’t have that high of an opinion of her [at the start], but shes been growing on me”

Meanwhile, West End perofrmer Denise Van Outen came out of this weekend’s Strictly Come Dancing as the big winner as she has moved into favouritism at even money ahead of Olympics hero Louis Smith who is now 13/8.

Kimberley Walsh is 9/1. Lisa Riley surprised a lot of people early on and is 14/1 to win it with Nicky Byrne (28/1) and Michael Vaughan (40/1) propping up the rest.

“The problem Louis Smith may have is that although he is good, he hasn’t really improved. Whereas Denise & Dani are just getting better and better,” said William Hill spokesman Mark Young.

It all leaves Nicky Byrne and Michael Vaughan in danger this week, with Michael the favourite to leave after being in the dance off last week.
