Strictly Come Dancing judge Craig Revel Horwood has admitted that the judges were very picky with Kimberley Walsh at the weekend.
The Girls Aloud star matched her best score to date, but many fans were annoyed that the singer had been undermarked by the panel.
Explaining his eight points for Kimberley and Pasha Kovalev's Tango, Craig said: "Sometimes she has a beautiful frame and she maintains it but then she'll change direction and it gets loose in the back. Sometimes she gets a little curve in her spine and there shouldn't be any of that type of isolation.
"But it was wonderful, this is being very, very, picky, because that's what we're looking for, I'm looking for flaws."
Discussing the latest performance show overall, Craig insisted it went well despite some low scores.
He said: "It was phenomenal, it was great to be back in the intimate space because I think the dances punch out at you.
"It's got really difficult now and the judges are looking far more technically at the dancing and we're going to be nitpicking."
One of the celebs who saw their score tumble was Louis Smith.
Craig explained: "I think he needed a little bit more arch and to be in character and acting the dance. It's really important at this time not to just be technical, he needs to tell a story and play a character.
"He was in character at the start but it absolutely fell to the floor by the end."
Meanwhile, quizzed on what Denise needs to do to get a ten from him, Craig revealed: "It wasn't a ten for me at the weekend because it didn't say wow.
"For me to go ten I have to be completely gobsmacked, it has to represent your point in perfection. "
This week Strictly Come Dancing is on Saturday 1st December at 6.50pm with the results show on Sunday 2nd December at 7.20pm on BBC One and BBC One HD.
