Strictly Come Dancing has come out on top of The X Factor in a viewers poll.

The X Factor bubble seems to firmly have burst after coming 3rd in a poll on Weekend TV, placing it just 2% ahead of Take Me Out

An AOL.co.uk poll has firmly reinforced Strictly Come Dancing as the Crown of Weekend TV, with a whopping 47% of the British public choosing it as their favourite thing to watch over the weekend.

Watching celebrities battle it out in the jungle also proved a hit, with I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here receiving 33% of the vote.

Mean while The Abba and Motown themed show couldn't save The X Factor, which pulled in just 8% of the votes placing it only 2% ahead of Take Me Out and Celebrity Come Dine With Me, who both attracted 6% of votes.

The poll ran from Friday evening through to Sunday night on AOL.co.uk and received 10,495 votes.

This weekend saw Strictly once again trounce the X Factor in the ratings, with more than 10 million viewers tuning to both Saturday night's performance show and Sunday's results.

The X Factor meanwhile secured eight million viewers for its performance show, rising to nine million for last night's results.

Both shows conclude with their finals next month.
