Strictly Come Dancing results: Denise Van Outen expected to be in bottom two

Denise Van Outen has claimed she feared being in the dance off on last night's Strictly Come Dancing results.

Victoria Pendleton became the latest celebrity booted off on last night's Strictly Come Dancing results after being in the bottom two with Michael Vaughan.

Despite being top of the leaderboard for the fourth week, Denise and her pro partner James Jordan confessed they feared being in the danger zone.

James said: "I think this week more than any other week we felt very vulnerable and we were top of the leaderboard."

Denise added: "Anything can happen on strictly so we were really nervous, we thought it'd be us in the dance off."

Michael Vaughan, who was saved by the judges for the second time, reacted after the results: "We're at the stage in the competition where if you're in the bottom two to you'll probably be dancing off, we're just going to have to raise our game."

Meanwhile, Nicky Byrne said: "It's not nice when anyone leaves, I think Vic struggled this week, she's always been capable but she always panics a little bit, shes so sweet and such a lovely girl."

And Louis Smith added: "It's sad to see a fellow Olympian go, I've known her before this and she's such a lovely girl."
