Strictly Come Dancing star Dani harmer has hit out at the haters who brand her fat!
The petite Strictly celeb admitted that personal comments about her weight had been hurtful.
“I don’t mind comments about me or how I dance but I don’t understand how personal these people can get,” she said. “It’s ridiculous and so stupid and I have a lot of young fans so I want little girls to know they should just be happy.
“I’d never in a million years go up to someone and tell them they look a bit chubby today, so why should people do that to me just because I’m on TV?"
Dani continued: “If you want to offer advice or constructive criticism, then fine, let me know, but I don’t know why anyone else would care about what I look like.
“I’m a dress size six and I’m five foot one, so for people to be calling me overweight is hard to believe.
Speaking to the Daily Record, Dani revealed she had made no plans for her career after the Strictly tour in the new year.
She said: “It’s going to be a very exciting time for me next year because, after Strictly finishes and some panto, I have the Strictly tour. But beyond that, for the first time in my life, I don’t have any plans and I am really excited about that.”
She went on: “You could say the world is my lobster. It’s all out there, waiting to happen but I don’t know what my next step is. I just know I want to keep working.
“I loved the real drama of Tracy Beaker because one of the reasons it was so successful was that it dealt with real issues. I love serious drama so I’d love to do some serious work and continue to test myself."
The former child actress added: "I want to be able to do all kinds of work as I get older. I think my dream job would be Doctor Who’s assistant. I love the programme and if they are ever looking for someone else for the job, I’d definitely love to have a shot at that.”
